Could easily be compacted, unprocessed cocoa. Very unlikely to be a stone.

Did you pay £10 for the bar of chocolate? No. All you were ENTITLED to was a refund of your purchase cost; anything else is a goodwill gesture.

    Time to move on.
  • mistakes happen, they gave you compensation, reasonable, you want more ask them but personally i would tell you where to stuff it. All they would have to do is replace the bar for you.

How would you like it if you made a mistake at something and had to pay 365x more than the mistake cost.

alright mate no need to be an !!!! about it
  • The response was proportionate to your original post, in fact it was a decent and useful reply.

I actually thought you were a troll or a WUM when you mentioned a years supply of chocolate.

  • I will tell you what is wrong with us: people coming on here having the inconvenience of getting a bit of hard cocoa in a chocolate bar and expecting a zillion pounds of compo and a lifetimes worth of chocolate for the trouble!

What did you genuinely expect? £100? £1000? did it cause you any distress or financial loss? no. Take the tenner (which is more than you are entitled to) and move on with life. Stop trying to make a quick buck out of something which has caused you zero problems.

It's always someone else's fault and we should always rinse them for as much free cash as we can as a result.

some of you need to get a grip - the OP was obviously jesting somewhat.

How can you tell? Reading the OP they genuinely seemed to EXPECT more than the £10 they were offered, otherwise they should have posted in the Vent forum.

The chocolate supply may have been a jest (as I took it to be) but I seriously don't think they should be entitled to anything more than they have been given already.

I dunno, you just have a knack for it depending on the language used - it was this line for me 'is was expecting free chocolate for a year or something' - the way it was written just implies that he was not being serious given how outlandish and unlikely it was

either way i think he has confirmed he was somewhat jesting now anyway.

i think some of you lot have compensation on the brain!
