Have a new laptop running windows 7.

Am using windows firewall and microsoft security essential anti virus.
On my old xp laptop i had the following installed.
Zonealarm firewall
Antivir avira
Adaware
Spybot
Spyblaster
Superantispyware
Malwarebytes
ccleaner
I know i may have overdone it but want to know what to install and what to leave out.
any other advice greatly appreciated

Yeah, that is overkill.
Over the last couple of years I have just used Eset Smart Security, Malwarebytes and ccleaner. Job done.
So the only thing I would install is Malwarebytes and ccleaner in addition to what you have.0 -

Oh, and avast or avira have superior detection rates to MSE, and both are lighter on system resources......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple0 -

You can even give a couple of licenses away as a present to your friends.0 -
Sandboxie is my suggestion http://www.sandboxie.com/
Used by many on here, light on resources and free.0 -
I run this

Alongside Kaspersky as I like the idea of a cloud based Anti virus that can't be changed if my machine becomes infected.
It uses very few resources and although still in it's infancy is considered worth while as a back up security to run.0
