can you get mobility car for dla high care rate for partner & daughter?

Hi,
My partner recieves dla high rate care and low mobility due to a car accident a number of years ago leaving him with various mental health issues. Also My 3 year old daughter is in reciept of dla middle rate care due to illness since a baby. They do not have physical disabilities as such but due to there problems it is difficult getting about.
Does anyone know if we can get a mobility car?
any replies would be greatly appreciated

To qualify or a vehicle under the Motability scheme, one person would need to be in receipt of the High Rate Mobility component of DLA.

So at present, you would not qualify.

Hi My son get High rate care and High Rate Mobility we get the car because of this, you need to get the high rate mobility for the car

Although you cannot get a mobility car without being on HRM, there is nothing to stop you using some of the care component towards a car.
