Best July Florida Deals?

Hi, everyone.
Myself and a friend are looking to travel to Florida this summer for a week or ten days in July. We're going out to see a music festival on the 22nd July and want to visit some of the Disney theme parks, so a day or two before the 22nd that would be best to depart.
Can anyone offer any advice on looking for the best deals to go? Would looking for flight and hotel seperately work best, or are there package deals to be had at a better price? I've never flown to America before, so am at a bit of a loss about where to start and what would look like a good deal.
Any help would be fantastic.
