I recently bought a Diesel bag, that said "Auth" on the title of the ebay item. It is SO obviously not having received it. In the description section it states if not 100% satisfied will give money back and for the returns policy it says return within 7 days.
Since purchasing the bag I took another look at his and if you would like to have a look for yourselves please go ahead http://feedback.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback&userid=beststmshop
I checked it only about a week ago and all seemed fine apart from a couple of negatives but I did not look properly before purchasing (so it is my fault) but since then it has only gotten worse! Afta checkin' the feedback today I am really shocked and horrified that he has only gone and de-registered!! As u can see his last 5 feedbacks are all negative.
Now I got the bag a week ago and immediately e-mailed the guy. Have since e-mailed him three times. No reply. I would have sent the bag back within the 7 days but remember reading in a feedback that some poor girl did that too but with no refund. What do I do? What can I do? Please help!

You don't mention whether you paid using PayPal. If you did you can at least attempt to get your money back through them.
Also, I'm sure somewhere on the eBay site you can report it as 'item not as described'. Your seller is NARU'd, meaning that he has been banned by eBay - not surprising looking at the feedback. I'm not sure where that leaves you in reporting it through eBay though.
Another good place to ask for advice is the community boards on eBay - loads of people use them and you should usually get a quick reply from someone.0 -
I agree with daveboy in that it depends how you paid. However, although it is possible to do a chargeback via paypal it seems that this seller deliberately set out to scam so has probably cleared his paypal accounts out now and disappeared.
However, if you paid by paypal using a credit card then you might be in luck as the credit card company is technically liable even if the seller has cleared out his accounts. Your CC company will try and deny liability, but keep on at them and try trading standards if necessary and you might just get a result.
If you paid by paypal balance transfer or any other method then unless you want to take the matter further, maybe get together with any of the other scammed buyers and take him to a small claims court I don't see what else you can do, sorry.

Well he's certainly pulled a fast one ... only registered for 2 months and pulled in around £1700 worth of sales (yes I was bored enough to add it all up
) not including anything he made from P&P charges, and all for fake goods too by the looks of it. Seems he didn't accept Paypal either so no one will be able to get any money back from him. "An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"

Thanks for the replies guys, paid by cheque. Have just sent off a complaint to ebay. Wish me luck0

looks like you have been caught unfortunatly. i dont think you stand any chance of getting the money back too be honest. ebay will just fob you off like they always do when something goes wrong0

how much did you pay...?
if you paid by cheque, would be worth talking to your bank about cancelling the cheque....... it might cost you an admin fee.... you may need a police report number....smile --- it makes people wonder what you are up to....
:cool:0 -
I think you have to decide how much effort you are going to put in here and waht your chances of success are.
You then need to weigh that up against how much the item cost. Is it worth the effort??0 -

Is it not like too late to cancel the cheque seeing as it has already gone through to the person?0 -

I know what u mean it's only 35 pounds but at the end of the day it's not just me he's fobbing off, it's wrong and he needs to be taught a lesson. I dunno how but he should be disciplined0 -
It is really wrong. I think eBay need to have a serious rethink about the registration process. Maybe make a small charge to become a member and a user verifying process. I dunno..but it seems to me that its still a scammers paradise praying on the unsuspecting...."There are no pockets in a shroud..."0
