Hello
i have Sky digital at my house and have a feed off it to another room. a couple of weeks ago it stopped working. you could still get the Sky picture but could not change channels, with the Magic Eye. i have been told that the set top box sends a DC voltage out, presumably for multy-room set tops.
so if this is not working does that mean a new set top box? if i want to change channels in another room.the hand set and Magic Eye have been tried elsewhere and work O.K
Thanks in advance

Have you recently moved the sky box so you unpluged it ? if not there is a setting to turn it on or off someone will know where it is i am sure ?.
If you have unplugged it make sure you plugged it back into the same connection .0 -
Bigangus check that the little red light is lit on the magic eye. this tells you that the dc power on the rf 2 output is working. there could be a loose connection on the coaxial plug on the rf 2 output or the input to the magic eye if you are still having problems send me a PM with your phone no and I will Ring you Chatham26650

Your magic eye seems to be okay, so punch in the following sequence to your remote...
Services - 4 - 0 - 1 - select
... this will get you into the Installer menu.
Then press 4 for the RF output settings, make sure RF Outlet Power Supply is set to ON. If not, change it to ON and select Save New Settings.
Hope this helps.;)0 -
The cable has not been unplugged, it was alredy working so have already done the 401 thing, and when i try to change cahnnel the Magic Eye does not light up.0

Try and reboot it by turning it off at the plug and leaving it for a couple off minutes .0

No joy after turning off for a few minutes0

only one other thing to do.
either take you box out to someone elses who has the same set up .
or borrow a box and if that works then it is something wrong with the box.
(you could ring sky and ask them if they have any ideas).0 -
Thank to to all who replied so quickly
i think i will get hold of another Sky box and see if it works.0 -
Sounds like a fault with the magic eye.
