So confused - What am I entitled to?

Thanks in advance for any help anyone can offer.

I'm due to go on Maternity leave next week and as of 1st Feb I'll be on SMP at £128 per week.

My hubby lost his job earlier this year and hasn't been able to claim JSA as I've been working.

I've looked at the tax credits sites and am I right in thinking the based on last years income combined 50k. This years mine only 30k we will only be entitled to £10 per week even though I'll be down to £128 a week come Feb, Does this sound correct?

Will I be able to claim HB and CTB? I'm just worried that when the babies comes I'm gonna spend ages trying to work out what I'm entitled to. Is there anything that I can do before hand?

I feel your pain. I'm on £128 per week, well under half of what I'm used to getting. We get zilcho in benefit. The £10 sounds right. From memory you ring tax credits and tell them your income, then when you get the confirmation, ring again and estimate your income for this year.

It was a complete waste of a phone call for us as we got sod all.

By the way I think this is right. Someone else may have more experience.
