HI, all...
My DLA was up for renewal 13th October this year, and in September they awarded me mid rate care, low rate mobility, when I had been getting mid rate care, high rate mobility.
So, i asked for a reconsideration...NO JOY.
So I took it to appeal, and in the meantime I had to have an independent assesment with an occupational therapist to enable me to get a blue badge.
The OT was great, saw straight away how my needs were, and that i should have a blue badge.
I sent a copy of the assessment to the DWP, and less than 2 weeks later they have stopped the appeal, and given me high rate mobility, mid rate care!!!!!!:j
I am soooooooooo pleased. And it's all been so quick.
I was expecting to have to go to a tribunal, but no!
UNBELIEVABLE!!
BUT....
In January my Incapacity benefit comes up for " normal review".
I know this is now ESA, and I'm dreading that battle now!
BUt at least this battle is won, for 2 1/2 years!
I would urge anyone to carry on, see it through, and GOOD LUCK!
