As the title states, I'm looking for a Laptop between £400-£500, but being a student, I want to find the best deal for my money. I have been looking around, but was wondering if any of you "tech heads" have seen a steal of a Laptop around.
I'm not really a PC gamer, so it would be more for entertainment and going coursework, ect.

The best deal would be to buy a £300 laptop, any of which will be more than adequate for your needs.0

Agree you don't need to go to more than £300 - 350 IMO.
Son went for an i3 2310 toshiba 660 4Gb/500GB and it is pretty slick. It is only matt black so not as pretty as some.
We got it from John Lewis (best price and extra years warranty) for £349, plus a cashback based on Rugby World Cup:( of £49.
Toshibas have a pretty good reputation IMO but their were various ones in that price range/specification depending on which brand you want."If you act like an illiterate man, your learning will never stop... Being uneducated, you have no fear of the future.".....

Add a 3 year warranty for about £50.
Or find an Acer and get a 3 year Acer warranty (inc accidental damage) for £31 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Acer-Advantage-Notebook-Extended-Warranty-/130594757140?pt=UK_Computing_LaptopAccess_RL&hash=item1e680dda140
