    Hi Coppers,
Could you try asking family/friends if you could do a 1 present exchange or a secret santa type thing? Afterall Christmas is more about showing those around you that they're loved than the presents. Can you even remember what you received last year? I can't but I remember it being really nice to see all my family and spending some downtime relaxing with them for a change.

You will be debt free if you work really hard at it. You say your son is grown up? Then explain to him about debt and let your kids see that you are working on it. That will help them if they need a good example. Son does not need "little treats" - possibly you slipped a little there. Thing is you must "build" on a days success - it's like saving adding a bit at a time.

    Thanks for your time.

Today I've only bought items on my shopping list, and at the best price I could get. We've decided to not buy any new christmas decorations this year even though we've seen things we like, we will reconsider if the things we like are in the sales. I know Mr Coppers has seen £95 worth of decs so he's done very well getting in the MSE way.

Well done coppers! i bought some gorgoeus decs last year in the sales.. some of them were £8.00 each to start with and i got them for a pound or less.. the same with next wrapping paper and gorgeous cards on 25p.. im sitting here smug now lol x
