Psp umd broken please help!

Hi, my son's psp game disc, umd, has become loose from its plastic case and will now not play in his psp console. Does anyone know if it is possible to buy replacement plastic cases?

  • I can't find anything online. I'd say you'll be lucky. If the Playstation 2 was anything to go by, Sony aren't too keen on selling replacement parts for things when they can just get people to fork out for a new one instead.

I've never held one up close, so I'm not sure how they're designed exactly, but it might be possible to buy a really cheap game or DVD that you don't want, and use the case from that to repair it though.

Pry it open with a knife, centre the disk and glue it all back together.

If it fails you are no worse off.
