Insurance with IN10 Conviction

Hi Everyone,

I have had a look on this forum and everyone seems very helpful and friendly so I thought I would give this a shot!

back in early 2009 I had the misfortune of getting an IN10 on my driving record. as I was 3 days short of my 2 year anniversary of driving I had 6 points on my license and had to retake my test. I am trying to get car insurance now but am really struggling to get anything remotely reasonable in price, can anyone suggest a route I can take?

I got the IN10 as I had recently changed car insurance to Adrian Flux, had not filled out one of the forms correctly and they cancelled my insurance without so much as as phone call or email. They said they had sent me a letter to warn me but I never received said letter. It shocked me when they said a letter of this importance was only sent out normal delivery and not recorded.

Anyway, I am where I am and am just looking to get insured at a reasonable price. Can anyone suggest a specialist or a cheaper route?

Thank You!

  • So not only do you have an IN10 but also had insurance cancelled.

You realistically aren't going to get reasonable insurance with either of those let alone both. Try local brokers, Adrian Flux and have a punt on the aggregators but it is going to be high until the IN10 drops off - the cancelled insurance issue is with you for life.
