Metal paint

Options
Is it too late in the year - too cold/damp - for metal paint to dry outside? What would be the ideal time of year / temperature?

Thanks in advance

ideally you need temps above 4 degrees all day. and preferably not damp
if you start early then the paint can dry before the cold evenings arrive.

you need to check the weather forecast/s this time of year.
    Get some gorm.

I've found that outdoor paints often say on the tin what the correct conditions are. It may need to be as high as 10C for the paint to dry properly.

The best thing would be to wait for a relatively warm and sunny day before doing any painting.
    If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.

Depends on the paint and conditions. I think Hammerite might be okay it goes off quickly where as gloss wont for 10+ hours and even then its still we underneath for a day or so
