There has been a lot of discussion on a separate thread concerning the omission of the WOW factor feature on the Competitions Board.
I for one would like to see it on there, in any form.
So just for a bit of fun - let's have a vote and see what the general consensus is - feel free to leave comments as well.

I dislike it very much and am very happy it has been removed.Thank you all who post.0

Make it separate from the Thanks. Some people might want to thank a poster for posting a competition (or anything else really), but not think it is worthy of being a "Wow". On a personal note, I dislike how large it is. I don't use it and would prefer to be able to hide it.0

I thought it was excellent but I also found likeability just as good - I desperately want one of these back as with minimum time to comp it helped me find the best ones when I had little time. People do not have to use it if they don't like it. If it could be included with an option to hide everyone would be happy I think.0

I like it and would like to see it back, but was also very happy with likeability so if that came back instead would be just as happy. Theres plenty of tools on mse that people can choose to use or not, dont see why this should be any different. Just because its there doesnt mean it has to be used by all. Perhaps the option to hide the wow column is the best solution. Thanks to all posters and contributers :beer:0

The WOW button itself is really irrelevant, the function could still exist without the WOW section being added the thanks button. Presumably the likeability factor utilised the thanks button without adding "LIKEABILITY" to it and WOW could use it in the same way. It is the WOW rating that is important and the fact that you can sort the board by this rating. If you are short of time, this was a great way of finding and entering the more popular comps very quickly and there is no way of doing this without likeability or WOW.0 -
i voted yes!
it really helped me alot to sort comps and i really miss is now its gone0 -
must admit i don't realy mind if it's there or not,
but still agree it would be better if they did bring it back to have the 'wow' & 'thanks' separate,
i like to thank a comp poster for a comp they've posted but that doesn't necessarily mean i think it's a 'WOW'please be a responsible pet owner & spay/neuter your pets, too many strays & not enough homes for them sadly.0 -
WOW, throughout its fleeting lifespan, was an incredibly helpful comping tool and should be reinstated forthwith. *bangs judge's gavel*
If people thought the colours too garish or simply did not use it, perhaps users should be given the option to disable the feature via the control panel. Or, you know, just let it happily co-exist with the myriad of other features MSE already offers (but, with likeability and wow now gone, none catering to that style of forum-browsing exist any more). If people don't want to use it, fine - they can turn it off, or ignore it. If people want to use it, also fine - enjoy and click.
I think, however, if there is a need for something, it is always better to provide than remove it, regardless of whether it will be used by one contingent or not. Depriving an incredibly useful forum feature because a few naysayers displayed apathy towards it, or complained about its colours, is a bit rubbish for those of us who genuinely appreciated the function and what it was trying to do.0 -
I agree with others on here.
I really liked being able to sort and find the "big" and "popular" comps.
The colours didn't bother me personaly0
