Home Insurance Renewal

Im looking at moving my home insurance, although ive not looked into it thoroughly yet i have been told that i can't move it until it is up for renewal, can you please tell me if this is true.

    As long as you haven't made a claim since you renewed, that is entirely false, but do ring and sk if there is a cancellation fee (most don't charge one but a few do). And when looking for a new insurer, I urge you to check out the ones on https://www.quidco.com first and get a few quotes. Some monstrous cashback deals on there with most of the major insurance companies.
