Which is the best online grocery shop

Due to not having much time I have decided to start doing my weekly shop online, I have never done it before where do you think is best?? Tesco, Sainsburys, Waitrose, etc??? Help

Having used both Asda and Tesco, I would recommend Tesco higher. Asda is fine but I don't like that they reserve a higher amount on the card you are using for payment than the value of your shopping as a "just in case" - for example, you spend £50 on your groceries but they actually ringfence £100 on your card. They release the excess about 3-4 days after delivery. Not very good if you need to get your hands on that extra £50 in a hurry though.

Tesco at the moment are doing £15 off a spend of at least £50 on groceries for new customers online - all the details are on their groceries homepage. You have to imput a code when you are going through checkout. I found the Tesco service better than Asda - you pick a 2-hour delivery slot but they will text you on the day to give you a more definite time, usually down to the hour.

I have been using Tesco and Sainsburys for a couple of year's now and both have been very good, not had any problems with delivery and even got to me in the bad snow last year. If you use Quidco you get 50p or sometimes a £1 back everytime you shop at Sainsburys.

I like Sainsburys the best, 1 hour delivery slots and the most helpful drivers, (well in my area anyway) very rarely any subs either.

I've only ever noticed Asda taking £2 excess off of mine and it's back in the next day. £50 extra seems excessive. Is this normal for most people?

I think they are all similar from what i've seen and heard, but I suppose it's area dependant.

Haven't got a Waitrose nearby so Ocado wins hands down for me. Te£co was pants when I tried it before Ocado delivered here.

After a complete disaster with ASDA we are quite happy with Sainsbury's. Though for real, fairly local, organic veggies try Abel & Cole, I love their concept!

I have always found they reserve pretty much double what you have spent (or thereabouts) - they do this, I believe, when they have picked your order or else on the day or delivery. When you first place your order, they do a test of adding £1 to your card which you get back in a few days too. Every time you go in and amend your order, they will do a £1 test charge to the card - every time!

tesco have been most relaible for me. when they substitute the item is always of higher value whereas sainsburys substitute to a lesser value. asda are just not very good at getting things right at all. ocado are fantastic if you shop at the higher end.

If you can handle the prices Ocado wins hands down for service. One hour delivery slots, the offer of low price deliveries, fewer substitutions and so on are good but the best bit by far is the life guarantee: no stuff nudging its sell-by date!

Sainsburys for me . They are still delivering in carriers till Jan in my area s.wales which is a bonus for me. They have 1 hr slots and the delivery men are lovely so nice to be treated like a lady sometimes bout the only time I do mind! lol
