I was in the new Boots today at the glasgow fort. The place is too big in my opinion but a lovely asistant made up for all this today but her nice attitude. My partner had to make a phone call and I was waiting on him. I started to feel more and more ill ( I have ME) and realised I badly needed to sit down. Boots is good for seats so I found one and sat their for quite a while. A lot of very young assistants passed by, not bothering. I was feeling pretty bad when a great asistant ( a bit older in her thirties) asked if I was ok ? She enquired if I needed a drink of water and wanted to rest in her small room away from the shoppers. It was SO nice of her, usually when I am feeling ill people just look at me as If I am a freak. But she talked to as though I mattered. Unfortunately I could not see her name on her badge, although I told her how much I appreciated her asking. She just shrugged the compliment off.
Thankyou very much to her, she is a great example for Boots. It would be so wonderful if more people took this caring view when they see someone who they dont think is feeling ok .

Such individuals are, unfortunately, very rare. Suggest you write to the manager telling him/her what you have told us. It used to be the case (and hopefully still is) that the assistant would be 'rewarded' with a Boots gift voucher, although I am sure that's not she reason she was so helpful! Thanks I did not know that! Only problem is I dont have her name - just a description. But will write and see.
Yes, before I was ill I always worked in retail and very few people took the time to say thanks. However It makes a differance. Mind you I occasionaly got boxes of chocolates from customers. One old lady bought me a Mars bar for dropping off a rug to her , which was really nice , problem was at the time she didnt realise her Mars bar thankyou was going to the company director ! The staff thought it was hilarousbut I was really touched as it was such a nice gesture.
Well the lady at boots certainly deserves something so thanks for letting me know that Boots reward their staff - good policy to have.0
