What is the difference between personal business use and commuting?

I am not sure which to request on my car insurance. As a personal trainer I drive to different peoples houses and I thought commuting was to one fixed work address.
TIA.

commuting is to your place of work. i.e. a fixed address office (or periodic trips to other offices of your work). House visits would not be commuting but would be business use.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. Most insurers would count commuting only as a single place of work. Periodic trips to other offices often will require business use cover - though many insurers dont charge anything for adding this on top of commuting,.0

I don't pay anything extra for business use needed to visit clients. However, certain insurers don't offer it, so some will disappear from the comparison sites when you add it.I am a mortgage broker.
