The DFW Path Is A Bit Rubbish Sometimes

So yeah I'm feeling a bit down, sorry I just needed to vent a little. I've paid off looooads of stuff this month but now I have £8.38 in my bank account, no phone credit, I wanna text a cute boy and payday is on Friday. Suppose I have to make sacrafices
I just feel rubbish as I feel like i'm sacraficing my life for repaying stuff y'know?

You are absolutely right, its a tough, long, hard path that we're on.
But luckily we can at least sympathise with each other and that is something.
What network are you on because I read on another thread that Orange customers can do free texts via the Orange website.
Keep on keeping on.

aww hun, it's hard now but will be worth it in the long run (at least that's what everyone tells me)
There are loads of free text sites online, have you tried any of them....lack of money shouldn't stop you from getting your man

Just remember these frustrations for when you've paid off the debts, I'm sure it'll make you think twice before getting into debt again.
Also consider keeping a larger 'float' (say £20?) for unforeseen occasions/circumstances such as this.0 -
Hi Matt
A long hauler here! :hello: Don't beat yourself up too much about the down days, they happen to all of us. The only advice I can give is to try and keep focussed on the end result and how much freedom you'll have then.
I had a down day too yesterday, had a bit of a rant, sulked and stomped around a lot. Generally was a horrible person to be around. I haven't worked out how to deal with it yet but I just kept in my mind the end goal. Sounds lame doesn't it
I also find that when pay day comes I can really look forward to paying off loads more and that keeps me going.
Chin up. You'll get there in the end.

Gosh, yesterday must have been one of those days! OH was in a mood all day and finally told me in the evening he was fed up of never having any money to treat ourselves on a whim with.
The thing is I had finally started to feel okay about it all as I've been rearranging our finances recently and started feeling in more control again. However, he managed to put me straight back into panic mode again
Anyway, the upshot is that it got me thinking again, and I'm going to blitz ebay with a few bits to get us a 'whim spending' account in paypal. Okay, maybe not the most sensible way to spend the ebay money, but if it lifts the spirits enough to keep us on the DFW path, it's important.
I agree with HeadinSand about having a bigger 'left over' amount. It's not always easy to do when you're h*ll bent on reducing your debts, but if it means you're a happier bunny at the end of the month, personally I think it's worth a teeny sacrafic somewhere else. I hope I'm not going too much against the DFW board ideals, but I think loads of people will agree that it's important to feel good about making yourself debt free

Thanks :-) I get paid fortnightly so it does feel a bit more like im paying things off steadily. Ill whack £200 on some debt this Friday. I have £2400ish left to pay off but I think £500 of it is 8.8% and the rest is 0% so least it's not going to be growing at a massive rate like mr credit card.0

Awww I sympathise. If you do have to wait till Friday to text him....fear not...at least you will not have seemed too keen and he'll be well chuffed when he *does* get the message
