How to programme Honeywell CM927

Hi
I recently purchases a new timer for me central heating.
I got the CM927 which is a remote thermostatic timer but I'm having difficulty understanding the instructions.
Was hoping someone on here had one similar and could help.
With a previous timer all I had to do was set an on and off time throughout the day, but now it doesn't seem to be on and off- instead I set Time 1 with a temperature, then time 2 with another temp eg time 1 0730 at 20c and time 2 0900 at xC. I want it off at 0900 so why set the temp? Am I supposed to set it low so it doesn't come on? Seems odd to me.
Hoping someone can help
Thanks.

The CM927 is a programmable thermostat - you used to have a timer and a seperate thermostat elsewhere I would imagine. So - yes - you need to tell the unit what minimum temperature you require at certain periods throughout the day and night - 5 degrees is considered 'off/frost protection' so set it to that if you like for your 'off' periods.
If there are too many on/off periods (six available per day I think) then you can also delete some of these - refer to the manual.
HTH.

I don't know the Honeywell, but I've used the Horstmann version.
Once you get your head round it they are good.
You have to set the old "on" times to whatever you need the room at, say 20C, and then set the "off" times to 5C.
You can ramp up and down as well, so set an hour before and after to 18C, then set an hour or two before bedtime to 15C.
If you go away, lock it at 5C, then it works as a frost stat.0 -
An I see, so basically it's always on, but I just set the temp. So not on/off like the old ones.
Thanks for your help.0
