This challenge is making me obsessed with finding ways to make money! I'm at £35.70 on one poll, so am constantly checking for more surveys cos I'd like to get a payout by this Christmas, and I'm going to request a Tesco voucher from valued opinions so that I can swap £20 from my grocery budget to my debts. Previously I had been thinking that I could treat myself with the extra money / vouchers, but now I would actually rather make do with the clothes I have now knowing that in just over a year everything I earn will belong to me and I won't have to justify spending MY money!:A If saving money is wrong, I don't want to be right. Put me down for this.
I've been in debt for over 15 years!! All my independent adult life!!
Started when I was a student, carried on when I had low paying jobs, and then was a SAHM, and now I'm self-employed and STILL paying a ton of my income towards basically maintaining the same old debts. They go up a bit and down a bit, and everytime I pay one off, something comes up and I run up another one!!!
We never take holidaysand I've worked out with all the money going towards these debts we could be going away, and building great memories with our daughter. Instead there's this and other things she doesn't get to do because its all going into the pockets of Mr Barclaycard and others. Time to really sort it out. Life is draining away like this. I do NOT want to still be living like this at 40.
:(
Sorry this has turned into getting it off my chest! I really needed some motivation this morning.

hello
i'm new to all this, only posted once or twice in the past, so please be gentle.
You all seem like fun and friendly people.... so i've plucked up the courage and i'm looking to be added to the list.
I think the motivation will be fabby - and will certainly help with my lightbulb moment.
I spend this morning making up a wee spreadsheet to help me with balances - and to show me nice and clearly where my money disappears every month, im determined my hard earned cash will now only be for household needs/fabulous bargains/pay off our debt..... So i think im on the right track to being debt free
My total is - £5854
Think i'll ease myself in until January..... then there will no stopping me once Christmas is over.I'm a Debt Free WannabePAID £4400/£6100 = 72.1% Busted!
