Credit card - no longer wanted

in Credit cards
Basically I applied for the Barclays credit card last week and when I submitted the application online, an error message appeared, saying something went wrong and could not process the application etc. I then tried again and the same message came up.
So I decided to give up and went on to apply for the M&S credit card instead (I was after a 0% interest purchase card). Everything went fine and an email came through a day later to confirm my application was successful.
Today, I received the Barclays credit card in the post! and the M&S credit agreement. As I don't really need or want two credit cards and seeing that I have the Barclays credit card already, there is no point for me to have the M&S one. So is it ok if I just ignore the M&S credit agreement or do I need to give them to call to tell them I don't need their credit card anymore?

If you have not signed the agreement, there is no need to do anything. They'll probably send an reminder in a few weeks.
However, I thought the M&S card had a longer purchase interest free period ?0 -
I would keep the card with the longest 0% deal on purchases or reward points, which i would say is the M&S oneI have a deep burning indifference0

thanks for the replies.
Yes M&S has 15 months and Barclays has 14 (+£30 cashback). As I have the barclays card already, thought would be easier just to keep this...0 -
Have you any particular reason for not keeping both? I suspect that the Barclaycard is a Visa and the M&S is a Mastercard. Could be handy to have one of each. You don't say whether you have other cards already. Are you for real? - Glass Half Empty??

Hi Fruit and Nut Case,
I do have other credit cards (Tesco + Lloyds), so don't think it's a good idea to have any more.0
