Hello,
Does anyone know if there is a problem with signing up, for the first time to the Playstation Network, please?
I have tried on our new PS3 and also on the website, but the website keeps saying PlayStation®Network is unavailable due to maintenance.
This has been the same since last Thursday.
I cant see anything about it on the Playstation Network website.

it's been offline on the website since PSN was hacked months ago, you should be able to sign up direct on the ps3, no idea why it wouldn't be working.0

My son has set his heart on buying one of these and playing online with his friends. As I understand it the website registration is down but he'll be able to signup through the console when he gets it. Is that correct?0

does your PS3 have a working net connection?
Yes.
It has now let us sign up and suggested a Master Account for me.
It said it would email me a link and code to set up a Sub Account.
Got the email, but it is only notification that my email address has been used, no code and link does not work!
That was y/day and now the site is down properly for maintenance!
The Master a/c is set up for my Son's user a/c on the PS3, so I think we are now stuck!0 -
I signed in last night without issue.
As for signing up, I made some new accounts via the PS3 a couple of weeks ago and they went straight through. All masters though, no subs.0 -
Hi folks,
Playstation Network is down for maintenance today, so Playstation Network services will be intermittent all day.
I can't post links, but do a search for EU Playstation Blog and the story is on the front page.0
