Opening PDF .aspx file.

I want to view the BCA (British Car Auctions) catalogue for a sale.
The catalogue downloads ok but in a pdf .aspx file format.
Nothing I've tried opens it. (I'm using IE and have Vista)
Are BCA trying to stop private buyers viewing their catalogues?

.aspx is a web page file

.pdf is just a pdf

probably the download is being named aspx for some reason - change the extension to pdf and it should work fine

Tried this and it does not work.
If you google opening .aspx files, a whole load of people have the same problem and the solutions seem deep into programming language or buying expensive software.
By the way I went to the Peterborough BCA sale today and the auction catalogue cost £4.
Perhaps this is the reason for making it hard to open online.

Try deleting the '.aspx' from the end of the filename. There is no way a website would provide user downloads as .aspx documents - this sort of thing sometimes happens due to sloppy programming causing the extension of the web script being added to the name of a download file.
i.e. catalogue.pdf.aspx should be catalogue.pdf
If that doesn't work, try a different browser. Sometimes the effects of sloppy programming are browser-specific. If that still doesn't work, I'd email the provider and complain.
