Hi
I have been getting this automatic update for weeks but it wont install.
It commences insallation but then brings up the following:
The feature you are tryng to use is o a cd rom or other removable disc that is not available. Then asks me to install the relevant disc
I dont know what it is.
Help please?

You'll probably need the original Office XP disk in order to install these updates. There may be a way around this - I'll post it if I can find one. G
Edit
From here: "To ensure the integrity of your Microsoft Office installation, the Windows Installer may require access to your installation media or network installation location before applying any product updates. This is a technical requirement of Windows Installer-based software patching and is not intended to be an anti-piracy measure. For more information, please see the Microsoft Knowledge Base article (Q268800): FIX: Windows Installer Must Have Original Source Files When You Apply a Patch.
From here: "To install SP3 without the original Office XP CD
When installing SP3, you may be prompted to insert one or more of your original Office XP CD-ROMs. If you do not have access to your original Office XP CD-ROM you can install Office XP SP3 Full File Version (58925 KB). Follow the instructions on the screen to complete installation. Note: Some users will still be prompted for the original CD when using the Office XP SP3 Full File Version, depending on your installation of Office XP. For more information, please see the Microsoft Knowledge Base article, (828451) OFFXP: Why Service Packs, Updates, and Security Patches May Require the Office XP CD-ROM."0
