Portable hard drive, any advice?

Hi

I’m looking to buy a portable hard drive to use with a laptop via USB cable, I’ve had very little success in finding any useful advice and was wondering if anyone could help. I’m after something smallish, between 40 and 80 Gb, around £50-75 but most of all reliable and sturdy, oh and I’m a sucker for gadgets which look good.

I’ve been thinking about the Freecom 40Gb mobile hard drive, a Western Digital 60Gb (its black) and the Freecom tough drive 80Gb. Anyone have any opinions on them or the brands???

Personally I have only ever put replaced 2.5" drives into 2.5" cases, and never bought one 'ready made'. :-)
