Hi ,
I'm currently in the process of setting up a small business, I've managed to save up enough to start off, but I was wondering would I be able to claim something of my JSA whilst I'm getting up and running, I don't really need help with funding or anything it's just I wont be able to support myself in the first couple of months. Any advice please?
Thanks

Go to the benefits board as the members there will know. Try and find the threads there about the new enterprise allowance scheme. You will need to tell them how long you've been claiming JSA.0

Enterprise allowance will be the way to go, as then you are not committing fraud. As you are aware, and also the reason why you are posting is because you want to avoid this.
My advice to you would be to speak to Job Centre Plus, and get an official view on this, as I’d hate for someone that’s actually wanting to contribute to society (as many here are, before I start a row) to get into trouble over this.
Best of luck with the business!
