The On-Line Energy 10 was due to finish on 31.10.11 but as a "valued customer" they agreed to extend it for a year offering 2% saving on their normal prices. When logged into my SP account I looked for other offers and there was a Discounted Energy offering 6% savings. On checking an external price comparision site I saw there was a newer On-Line Energy 13 (saving 11.9%) which I have now transferred to.
Monthly payments have gone from £162/month to £122.

Scottish Power have lots of products with various discounts. The Discounted Energy would give you the 6% saving until 30th September 2013 whereas the OLE 13 runs for a shorter period of time. SP also introduced a new product called OLE 16 in October. According to U-Switch this was the best selling energy product sold it to had an 11.9% discount that was garunteed until 31st December 2012. This has now been replaced with OLE 17 wich gives an 8.1% discount garunteed until 31st March 2013. I would ask to move to this product. Not only do you get a good discount but you also get the security of the discount wich in essence could swallow a future price rise
