in Credit cards
Just have to post that I got superb customer service from the Halifax credit card customer service team yesterday.
I incurred a £12 fee as I missed my payment by a couple of days this month. This was the first one I had missed in ages. I rang them up to see if anything could be done considering my payment history and they were happy, as a goodwill gesture, to remove the fee. Can't be bad to that.
Plus the customer service was UK based (in Northern Ireland) and were very friendly, (not that I'm biased or anything!)
Thanks guys!

Out of curiosity do you clear the full balance every month without fail? Just wondering as if you do not, then the person perhaps took the view that it would be better to refund the £12 as you are a good earner for the bank interest wise every month.Regards, Robin.2011 MFW # 34
Mortgage starting balance at Sept 09 - £127,224 on 30 year term. Currently balance approx £116,945 (Updated Jan '12)
Estimated MFD - [STRIKE]Sept 2039[/STRIKE], April 2031 (in progress!)0 -
Thant could be a fair point. I do have an o/s balance, not huge though and the Apr is reasonable at 12.9% on the clarity card.
Still, as they say, every little helps!0 -
Why don't you set up a direct debit to pay the minimum payment every month and then you'll never have this problem? If you do this, there's nothing stopping you making other payments in addition to the DD.0

Well done. £12 saved.
Northern Irish people are very friendly, down to earth people. Again i would tend to be a bit biased!0 -
good that you had it returned but it will still reflect on your credit report as a month late paymentLBM 18/06/15 - [STRIKE]£20,276.64[/STRIKE]
01/07/15 - £19,897.020
