Morgan Stanley contacted my employer back in the day but other then them no other institution has.
Barclays wont check unless its a high value loan/mortgage.0 -
A few of the responses do not appear to be based on fact.
My first ever credit card was a Barclaycard applied for in or about 1996 and I know that they did contact my employer to confirm my employment status. I can be sure of this because by coincidence I took call myself.
Things might have changed with Barclaycards operation in the past ~16 years but this is my experience.0
