Loan from Natwest in 2001

I am sorry if I am barking up the wrong tree. I am reading as much as I could with the PPI claims and getting all confused
My husband took out a personal loan from Natwest in 2001 and was told that the PPI component was compulsory or we could not get the loan.
Stupidly, we re-serviced the loan + overdraft twice a few years later, following "advice" from Natwest to do so and in the following occasions, opted out from PPI after reading the fine print very very carefully.
I don't think I have a chance in claiming back PPI. Should I just be cheeky and try?

Hello there
Of course you can make a complaint and reclaim, I would do so on all the loans with PPI you were mis sold on with your reasons, many on here have had success even from the 90's accounts, so do give it a shot and give them as much information as possible.
If mis sold for the same reasons, then one reclaim questionnaire is fine, but remember to enclose the account numbers that apply, there is a question in the reclaim questionnaire where they ask for both loan and the PPI insurance account number, but these would be the same as there was no different account number given separate to the loan.
Step 3 to the questionnaire below, but if you prefer to keep them separate that is up to you, send to the complaints of the head office of the bank and keep copies as well, good luck.

Thank you so much! I will get on with it now.
