Walking in Slovenia

Hi,
I'm thinking of going walking in Slovenia with a group of Friends in mid to late May. There will be 7 or 8 of us. The Julian Alps look favorite with Lake Bled or Bohinj look good. I'm wondering if anyone else has been and if so where they stayed and which walks they'd recommend.
We are experienced walkers and can cover 15 miles a day. Don't mind how high we go as long as we don't need specialist climbing equipment. Ideally we would set out in the morning and get back to the hotel in time for a hearty meal and a good drink.
Jim
Any advice

I'd stay in Bohinj - It's a delightfull place and nicer (smaller) than Bled. It's also part of Trigalev National Park. Plenty of excellent walking!
I stayed here http://www.alpinum.net/eng_ok/html/hotel_zlatorog.html
It's actually in a place called Ukanc, about half an hours walk from Bohinj. I really enjoyed my stay, although that was 11 years ago. You must also spend at least a day in Ljubljana Europes smallest Capital City!0 -
I stayed in Lake Bohinj last year and I'm going back again this year.
There are more walks using Lake Bohinj as a starting point. The walk can be on the steep side and fun if there has been a land slip.
We travelled there in early June and there was still snow on Vogal and there were skiing the week before.£2 Coins Savings Club 2012 is £4
