:rotfl:Yes I don't think you need to be Sherlock Holmes to work that one out. I see "stilltheone" was PPR'ed in August and TakeThis joined... guess when?

Wonder if he was PPR'ed for his constant pushing of this card or his general obnoxiousness? It was never the best option for foreign currency and now isn't even the best pre-paid card, the Kalixa card is better value.

I have no idea of what you are going on about.

I have mentioned both the Globe card and Kalixa in my post.

If you have a better suggestion for the OP, why not post it, instead of apparently Trolling?

Four useless posts since Oct 2010? I don't think that you are in the position to comment at all.

As opposed to your numerous posts about travelex's cash passport (under both your old username and present)???????? You must have a copy and paste function as you are constantly pushing the same product in peoples faces. Impartial advice?

Yeah and you are so damn obnoxious and rude as was stilltheone:rotfl:!

When you actually post something to help the OP (or anyone for that matter) I might change my opinion.

I'm confident that my advice is appropriate and is completely unbiased.

The fact that many have thanked me for such unbiased advice is enough for me.

It's an open forum so others are free to post their better ideas if they have them.

You don't seem to have any. I guess the reason for that is....

    obvious-troll.jpg

Have a nice time playing alone, as I've posted the appropriate advice and have no reason to return unless the OP has further questions.

I will take the forum advice to heart and simply put you on ignore.
  • I will ignore your 'advice' and if i see anymore travelex advertising by you or your new username will report it as spam.

As to the ridiculous statement of the Travelex Cash Passport Globe not being accepted in the places you mentioned..... let's just say that it is nonsense. I have no idea why you would post such a thing. I think you simply misunderstood what you read. Read it again. :)
It is awkward having to look around for an AEON machine in Thailand, so as to avoid the Thai bank's 150 baht withdrawal charge.

    1. In case someone reads this in the future I do want to clarify that I didn’t know the Travelex Cash Passport Globe card and the Travelex Cash Passport Currency card were two different cards so it is the currency card that isn't accepted in the places I specified like Thailand etc. The Globe card I am sure will work ok, if that is the way you want to go.

2 I telephoned Lloyd's and non account holders can purchase the Sterling Travellers cheques from them - there is only a charge of £4.50 for postage out to your home address as there are no branches of Lloyds in NI.

I don't want to get involved with the other !!!!!ing on this forum.

    Thanks again for you input!

Again, that's not quite right, though I can see where you are getting confused.
What they actually mean, is that there is not a Cash Passport card specifically denominated in Thai baht. It does not mean that that the cards are not accepted. Just that the usual Cash Passport card will prove particularly poor value in those cases.
The Globe card is just better value all round.

As to Lloyds, do be careful with that. As far as I know, non-bank customers have to pay the 1.5% commission for Sterling Travellers cheques. So it would be 1.5% commission plus £4.50. Unless N.I. is a special case.

Do let us know how you get on.
So if someone is telling you otherwise, be careful to know your final bill before you confirm payment.

You can just pay them into your bank account if you have any left over.

That's why I said 'if you are not careful'

You also said "when cashing them", my point was you don't need to cash them if you some left over - a lot of people don't seem to realise you can just pay them into your bank account like any cheque.
