LTSB admit that they miscalculated refund last October

Hi
I received a refund last October 2010 after first taken my complaint to LTSB in July 2009. At the time, I thought this maybe short, but the FOS said this was a good offer.
Just received a letter dated 2nd November 2011 stating they miscalculated by £1100 and will send this via cheque. No mention of compensation for the inconvenience or error. Have spoke to LTSB where a Manager has recommended to the Refund team that they issue this asap with compensation.
Just wondering if this does take too long can I go back to the FOS or any other authority.
Thanks in advance everyone!

I dont really understand your post. If the extra £1100 they are going to give you is an inconvenience, then there are many that would take it from you.
I would expect if you dont recieve it promptly, then you can escalate the issue to FOS.No Longer works for MBNA as of August 2010 - redundancy money will be nice though.

Hi also got a similar letter underpaid £2300.00 and said the money would be paid within 21 days.:mad:0 -

Hi Sorry for the confusion. The £1100 is because they underpaid last year in my first refund.0 -
Hi there
this happened with me last year too.
They sent a further cheque months down the line as they stated they underpaid on the previous refund, we did however try to make them aware of this when they upheld at the time, as we noted the calculations did not work out.
So we received a further £2996.
Looks like they are dealing with these issues again, you may note it says on the back of the letter that you do not have to do anything, just bank the cheque because its owed to you.
Well done!:beer:The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
If they have miscalculated the redress then any further payment should include the statutory 8% per annum simple interest on it.
Don't forget you have to pay tax on that interest.0
