Yup .... not sure if it's going to be "me" though - todays mission is to wrap an unwanted gift ready to give to someone else ...... I guess I've part completed it as I have a few gifts that I don't want but they'll probably be e*bayed as I don't really know anyone who'd want them either!Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

Ha, ha dizzy Lizzie, just felt like I was waffling on this morning!
Well I have been shopping, went to co-op got whoopsied bread 2 loaves, rolls and 2 packs yogs and other bits I needed. Spent about £11.
Made a decision whilst out, I go to a nice hair salon for my highlights and cut and it costs £68 every 6/7 weeks, I know, but pretty standard salon prices. Now we're being strict with the pennies I just can't justify it though so I bought a home highlighting kit for £6.99 and have texted the hairdresser who comes to the house to do DH and DS's cuts to cut mine, I could get her to colour it too but I'm sure it will be more than £6.99!!!
So, I am now watching you tube tutorials on foil highlights, my hair isn't even shoulder length so it shouldn't be too hard (famous last words), I'm only going to do a T section, it comes with a cap but I don't think I'll be able to follow what's already been done with that. I will then cancel my hair appointment for next week. I feel sad doing it in a way is it's a treat for me and I really like my hairdresser but it's just too expensive.Mum to 2 DSs, dog mum, wife full-time worker.

Well had a NSD yesterday and this morning filled the car up, so £52:eek: gone there. That would usually last me for the month, but taking mum to Meadowhall tomorow for a 'personal shopping' day. My dad gave her cash fro xmas and we always go to the personal shopper in Debs, at MH once or twice a year. It makes for a really special day.
So looks like I will have to refill the car at some point later in the month.Scrappie

Please add me to the list. I found this group really helpful last year. I didn't have time to post much (too busy selling on ebay, and I expect this year will be much of the same!) - but I learned loads.
. I am now a budget planner addict - something you couldn't have said about me a few years ago! Happy New Year Frugal Living Challenge thread!

Argh!
Why does my cheese sauce never work!?
It always comes out wrong; too runny, lumpy, etc etc... well tonights was thick, too thick, so put more milk in, til it was a good flowing consistency, added the tuna and pasta, mixed it all put in oven topped with more cheese.... looks good.. tastes ok, but it was a bit doughy at the bottom... still edible. Well it needs to be, as I made enough for tomorrows lunch and enough to freeze til another day.Living Simply, not simply living.Weight Loss - 5b/55lb

Ooh could you add my name please. Here dead we lie because we did not choose
To live and shame the land from which we sprung.
Life, to be sure, is nothing much to lose,
But young men think it is,
And we were young.
