Recipe is HERE, it's really easy to make, tastes great and I've made it for years with great success. First tasted it in the Orkney isles about 20 years ago, so it's a well tested recipe. You can do exact same recipe using red clover, elderflowers and almost any type of fruit.
Just adding in the latest names, welcome to CoupsRus and Greying Pilgrim.
Hope everyone is ready for the challenge beginning tomorrow.I'm leaving it here, as the forum rules state we don't need a new thread until we reach 5000 posts.

Hello everyone and Happy New Year to you all!
I have been compiling my spreadsheet today and putting all the figures in for the year. i am including everything this year and not just gas, electric, food and petrol as in previous years. This amounts to £15164 and this includes everything from mortgage and household billd to car and associated costs to saving towards courses for my degree with the OU. In theory i should have £1388 left over at the end of the year (if I stick to budget) but I shall see *rolls eyes* - Here's hoping.
Good luck everyone! :beer:Karma - the consequences of ones acts."It's OK to falter otherwise how will you know what success feels like?"1 debt v 100 days £20000 -

Rictus123, you didn't respond to the questions I asked on page 20, that at least one other person has agreed with so far...
Again, my intention isn't to be rude or offend but you seem to have been posting for 2-3 years constantly saying your age and how much you plan to save....but all this time later there's still no savings...just don't like my time being wasted by constantly changing ideas/stuff that will never happen...perhaps I should use block facility...0 -
Hi Happy New Year everyone. Thanks for adding me to the challenge, although my sig is mommYof4 not mommieif4! lol only a technicality though, don't know how you keep up with everyone!
Staying home tonight, oldest GS (14) staying over much to the delight of my two youngest sons (5 and 9). Daughter gone to fancy dress party, trying not to worry about her driving there with maniacs that are around on NYE!
Anyway, not updated my sig yet, but have spent some, but also saved loads.
Hope everyone has a great night!(vegetarian & vegan family: me, DH, DS11 & DS 7, 3 dogs and 3 cats (not veggie )

thanks everyone for the heads up on the price of loo rolls and hte sugar...
We have a home bargins locally that has recently opened, which i have only been in twice..
What i want to do ideally is try and bulk up on essentials that can be stored... otherwise it might not be cost effective if i travel on a regular basis to these discount places, then any savings will eaten up ( and more ) by fuel costs.
I have managed to get myself one of those organised mum family diaries from ebay ( were none left at our local 'works' at £4.99) had to pay the normal price for it, alot of people have said they are well worth the normal price... So hopefully this will also help me with my 'extreme' frugal challenge
