You see I haven't used a tumble dryer for about 18 months since I got my washing machine. Lost my laundrette card and that was that. Didn't get round to getting a new one from the council. Stuff dries perfectly well on the airer in the bedroom in a few days....
I don't miss it to be honest. No one stealing my stuff; worrying someone's taken it out straight after and put it who knows where etc.etc.
A lot less stress for me - bar the ironing that rarely gets done LOL
E
oh gosh erme.. did people seriously steal yr stuff?? i took a few quilts down to be dried a few months back.. laundrette is just round the corner.. came home.. and thought hope nobody steals my quilts!! would have been gutted lol0 -

Hello to all
I have added another 19 names to the challenger list so please check post 2 to ensure your name hasn't been missed out and let me know if it has.
Thanks for the big, bold coloured text - it helps me spot new names.
Not long to go now! Only a fortnight left of 2011 then it's back to the start, counting every penny as we go in a bid to kick those debts and build some savings.
£4,000 budget for Frugaldom again, everything except rent/mortgage and council tax included. You know where to find me if you need to let me know anything.I reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.

Please can you add me to this also, if i'm not to late?
Not been on here for probably about 2 years but really need to sort out our finances, not sure on budget yet but will be for 2 adults and 3 children, will have a sit down with figures this week and sort out a realistic amount!
Wishing everyone luck with this challenge, got a feeling we're gonna need each others support this year.

Hi Hiddenidenity,
It's whatever your preference is.
Some people just count the variables, the things you have some control over ie groceries, petrol, electric/gas/water usage, insurances, the non-variables such as the things you don't have any control over ie mortgages, taxes aren't counted.
Some people count everything.
It's up to you.0 -
i'm gonna count my rent and everything basicially anything going out of my bank or out of my purse, so that i can get a proper idea of how much i need to live off then i'll know how much i can overpay my mortgage by when i finally buy
.
i will be starting in the new year but keeping spends low before that aswellDEC GC £463.67/£450
EF- £110/COLOR]/£10000 -
I am also counting everything. This is whats making it so interesting for me, seeing just what I [STRIKE]waste [/STRIKE] spend over the year. I know there has been too many lunches and coffee mornings in town with friends that need to be stopped or at least reduced and I have been very guilty in the past of buying things in CS just because they are a (good label) bargain and then donating them back several weeks later unused or unworn. I do have hobbies which are relatively expensive but that wouldn't be quite so bad if I thought before I bought because again I pass a lot of unused stuff on to other people and thats plain silly.Mortgage and Debt free but need to increase savings pot. :think:0
