Well done finding my feet, sounds like you have your plan all sussed out so what can go wrong now eh?! Frugal all the way for 2012..
Och so pleased for you :T...was so tired yesterday and still quite tired today...and the chap who I bought my printer off refused to give me a refund like he said for finding out what the spare printer cartridge was used for  but refused to be fleeced by his refill prices (bad enough being fleeced for the printer by 200%) so I refilled them myself and disabled the ink status...Glad I didn't phone him at 9 this morning asking him how to disable the ink status
Grumpy chap :mad:Please add me to the list: _Tru_
Hi all,
I've been browsing lately & have just joined the forums & started my own diary & would love to join on this challenge too, please?
I had debt, but am now debt free. I am determined to stay that way, hence the diary. I would like to not set an actual budget amount but rather just post generally, as I've seen some other posters may be doing.
Thanks in advance & nice to meet you all.
Tru.
Och Brilliant..so pleased for you. Yeah I've only set a budget for 3 months cos I think that's all I can manage right now. But in 6 months I should be debt freeso why worry?

Hello, am I too late to join the list? I seriously need to get a grip with spending, I'm on a limited budget but still manage to waste money on chocolate and chips (:o) most days, my purse is empty and my (fat) body is full arghhh
I need to be carefull with what I eat as well as what I spend, my cholestorol is gonna be sky high if I carry on eating/spending as I do.
Am looking forward to join in and be frugal in 2012 xKEEP CALM AND keep taking the tablets :cool2:0 -
So .... does anyone know of any labels that actually remain stuck onto plastic tubs in the freezer?
Hi
The ones I use are from Lakeland, they are on a roll and you get 250 small or 150 large ones, I find they stay stuck to what you stick them to, (if you see what I mean) and when I take the tubs from the freezer the label will come off without a fight, you need to remember to take them off before you was the tub otherwise a fight will ensue.0 -
Hi folks. Please can I join in too? Not sure about setting an amount since this is my first go at it. Really just want to get into the frugal mindset.
Thanks to everyone for the inspiring posts.:T0 -
Just saying a quick hello & I hope everyone is having a great weekend and feeling positive!

Hello
Please may I join the frugal living challenge? I have two main goals. One is that I am getting married in August 2012 and I think I need to get about £1000 more to pay my share of that. Secondly I am a dfw and would like to reduce my £22000 debt by at least £3000. I'll only be able to do that with help and support, which I know I'll find on here.
So it looks as though my target is to raise a minimum of £4000 over the year for wedding and dmp.Ninja Saving Turtle0 -
Hi dizzie L :-) so glad the tree is looking good
hope you are having a nice weekend xx
Thanks Rising.. am so happy to have found you people.. its all very inspiring xx:)
Hope everyone is doing good.. i have a situation, every time me or OH go out with someone we end up buying drinks but its not returned lol.. weve only just noticed, but no one seems to dip in there pocket, and there is a silence and lack of motivation to pay for anything in the hope that we will. Its not like you can sit back and wait.. it would be embarassing, but its kinda got to stop really. How does everyone else deal with this? i would give anything i own to loved ones and close friends, but find its becoming a little expected.. and i feel too akward to wait for them without sounding mean. Hope this reads rightxx

I have a lot of the wee round tubs that I*kea did ages ago (may still do them, I've not been for ages) and these are great for single portions but the labels just seem to peel straight off them in the freezer ......:(
I use any old bit of paper stuck down with some sellotape. But that is because I am [STRIKE]tight[/STRIKE] err frugal:D0 -

Och if I can clear £3k of debt by June on benefits sure you can too...be encouraged not disheartened....Try and make an 'ideal' budget and like a 'I'm getting used to this' budget and a 'derriere up' budget....it takes time (like min 3 months) but maybe join the payment a day thread and do the debt snowball (https://www.whatsthecost.com - somewhere on the left hand side :T) and adjust depending how successful you are...
For me with MH I find routine more important than anything else so I can do without the tv....I have two DAB radios and they do me fine and also internet radio
(for days like today when there's nothing decent on the radio). I wouldn't have the second one but I was having terrible trouble sleeping in my room prior .... So I got it...slight whoopsie but still
....
Also menu plan is important as well. Doesn't matter right now what you cook and eat so long as you cook and eat. I've forgotten to do a big food shop this week and like no menu plan and I'm in a right state  - major anxiety  Lesson learnt :T
And just like as everyone else has said...pay utilities and petrol when you get paid - don't leave it till you run outI use any old bit of paper stuck down with some sellotape. But that is because I am [STRIKE]tight[/STRIKE] err frugal:D
LOL...I'm even worse as I don't freeze home made stuff unless it comes from Mr L :rotfl:
So thanks
