Will I be able to use the MS&More card to pay off the Virgin with them both being owned by HSBC?
The Virgin card is run by MBNA, not HSBC.
  • Just checking in to see if anyone else is having trouble with online codes? I've used two 500 points codes in the last month or so (xmas shopping!) and both times have had to go through to CS on the phone to get it added since it didn't register. The most recent time I had also emailed them via their PM system on their site and the query wasn't dealt with. Is this happening anyone else?

On the bright side I did get an extra 500 points for the annoyance. I also had to go through to order a hamper cos the code wasn't being accepted and the CS rep misheard me and thought I had a voucher for £10 off rather than for x10 points which was rather nice :)

Have to say the CS reps for M&S are tip top. It appears that some overseas call centres get it right. But the guy hadn't heard of anyone else having problems with online codes.... just wondering if I'm doing something wrong...
  • I always have to ring the CS up to get my bonus points for shopping online. Still its a quick call, and they always get them sorted straight away. A bit of a pain but worth the generous points ie. 500 pts for no minimum spend.
  • Anyone try (and have a problem with) the code: E05379391 that was supposed to offer 10x &more points for any online spend?

this is the one the CS rep misheard so I didn't get the chance to try :)

I've just signed up to a M& S credit card, and was also given two vouchers to collect additional points - 500 in total.

    MARKS & SPENCER £31.80
    MARKS & SPENCER £13.48
    KLM £147.90
    KLM £147.90
    MARKS & SPENCER £18.01
    COLLECTABLES £17.48
    ATLAS £52.36

However this is only showing that i have collected 217 points - even though I redemeed vouchers to collect an additional 500 points.

How are the points calculated ?

I assumes 1 point for every £1 spent at M & S, and 2 points for every £1 spent elsewhere.

    I estmate I should have around 1254 ponts !!!

    62 points & 500 voucher points from M& S purchases
    692 points collected elsewhere

Have I made an error in my calculations ?

    It's 1 point for every £2.

My extra points vouchers weren't applied on my first statement but came through on my next.

I've found that the 500 points vouchers codes often don't come up and you have to hold onto the voucher (or code) and phone M&S and let them know that they haven't worked. They then refund the points onto your card. it's a bit of a pain though!

    That will be correct then.

    £1 for a point in M&S
    £2 for a point elsewhere.

So all that seems missing is the 500 bonus points
