Butlins. Not as happy bunny :(

Hi all, I booked a Butlins Holiday back in July. I have just been on there website and found the same holiday is now £83 cheaper :mad:

I am not very happy about this as you can imagin. How do i stand with trying to get this money taken off my holiday?? I am going to contact them tomorrow and complain. Has anyone else done this and has it got you anywhere??

Thanks in advance.

My guess is you can't do anything except ask them. Unless the terms & conditions allow you can cancel without penalty and rebook? Like most things, holidays are priced on supply & demand - the price could have gone the other way and you'd have thought you were getting a bargain!

I tend not to check things like that - a bit like checking the lottery then realising you forgot to put it on - what you don't know can't hurt you..

    Complain ?

What for, you booked it several months ago, holiday prices always chop and change all the time.
  • Ask nicely and they may price match, though it is not policy they often do as a goodwill gesture.

Get antsy and start 'complaining' when they have done nothing wrong, and they'll tell you to jog on.

If you checked and found it had gone up £83, would you get onto Butlins and ask if a cheque was OK?

Its one of those things - sometimes they go up after booking, sometimes they go down.

If you consider you got a good deal at the time of booking, then you got a good deal.

No harm in asking though - or see if they cannot drop the price if there are any upgrades to have.
