Groupon changed voucher after purchase - do I have any rights?

I purchased a Groupon voucher on 8th September, it was emailed to me on the 9th and I "redeemed" it online the same day. It was to purchase two slimming bodysuits. I duly went to the website, provided all my details, made my selections and paid the £3.99 P&P.

Groupon sent me an email towards the end of September stating there was a supply problem and orders would not be fulfilled until mid October at the latest, and if this was a problem I could have a refund. As I was in no rush for the goods (just wanted them in time for the party season) I left it.

As they had still not arrived I emailed Groupon last week to see what was happening. After asking for my order details I received an email response stating "We have been advised that due to problems with our initial partner and customers not receiving orders this deal has been transferred to another partner. All customers yet to receive their orders should receive an email, if you have not already, providing full information on how to place your order with our new partner." I was given a link to the new supplier and the product is not the same! Furthermore, they only offer three size options, the smallest of which is a Large (apparently dress size 14-18) which is simply too big! I emailed back to advise that this wasn't the same product and there wasn't a size small enough for me and I've had no response. They had been quick to reply up until that point! Where do I stand with this please? Even if the product came in a suitable size for me it isn't the same and I would never have spent £20 (+£3.99 postage) on it.

    You should be entitled to the £20 voucher refunding from Groupon and the £3.99 postage you've already paid.
  • Groupon have a tendancy to refund in Groupon credit so expect a fight if you want it back in real money.

  • I purchased this offer in October and was sent the voucher which I redeemed immediately. The order said allow 21 days for delivery. I have tried to contact the company by email last week. Got an automatic response with a telephone number. That just rings out. Contacted groupon who said they would email them. Rang Groupon again a few days ago and they said they would raise a query and get back to me but they haven't as yet. I don't hold out much hope of ever getting the items and I am going to ring Groupon tomorrow and ask for a refund.:mad:
