There's no EPC as this house was put on the market after the HIP's were axed.

I was lead to believe EPC's were still required to be provided.

I'm living in 3 bed end of terrace house (mid 50s). I've got 2 double bedrooms, 1 single, 1 toilet with bathroom, lounge and kitchen. I'm paying:
£100/month gas + electricity dual fuel by DD,
£124 council tax over 10 months (Band B),
£44.75 for water - no meter

I live in a 2-bed '60s mid-terrace with a larger downstairs than upstairs and no loft to insulate (semi-flat roof on top of bedrooms - nippy in winter!).
Gas / electric: £48 pcm combined (gas heating but we set the 'stat at 18-19C and wear jumpers)
Water (meter): £22 pcm (was £12 pcm until I had surgery and needed a daily bath!)
    TV: £12 pcm
    Council tax: £128 pcm
    Contents: £12 pcm
    Media: £29.90 pcm

If you are careful with your heating, have your thermostat set nice and low (wear a jumper or two - I do!) and only take quick showers then it is simple to keep heating and water bills reasonable.
  • We (DD & I ) live in a 3 bed 1890's mid terraced with 3rd bed converted to bathroom, GCH, loft insulated and 50% double glazed

Gas & Electric is paid quarterly and is around £120 pq over the summer and £300 pq over the winter (gas hob & electric cooker)
£50 - Broadband, line rental & phone pm
    £110 - water per quarter (don't have a shower)
£12 ish - TV licence pm
    £22 - SKY pm
    £16 - B&C insurance pm

We put jumpers on when it's chilly and the GCH is on for about 2 hours a day in the winter - mainly to dry the washing. We also have a heated over blanket that we use when sitting watching tv (rather than GCH on) - and we use candles in the evening :D

    Very romantic...

The washing though.. Have you got a spin dryer? (Sep one to the washer?) They can get tons more water out and help you save time/money drying clothes.
