TC query

If you do your tc review in April and advise of any changes of circumstances for previous period in that, as long as you have all money to pay back should it be necessary, is that ok? Sick of trying to get through on telephone to advise a change in circumstnaces.....

    If it's just income, yes.

But for other changes for instance stopping childcare, working less than 30/16 hours etc, you must tell them straight away. For changes which increase your entitlement eg working 30 hours, new child etc you will miss out on extra payments if you don't tell them within a month.
  • It is that my daughter has come out of fulltime education........
  • So what could they do apart from claim the money back? I havent spent a penny of this years claim as I know our salaries are going to be higher and my daughter has now left education......

    They could impose a penalty.
