Weird wedding dreams!

  • I hadn't had any weird dreams until last night, I blame this thread because I read some of the stories just before I went to bed.

In my dream I got to my venue and they couldn't perform the ceremony as they had to do the wedding breakfast early. So I went into the room to find my seat and a buffet had taken over every table, leaving nowhere for people to sit down to eat. When I asked why, they said they had to do the wedding breakfast and buffet at the same time, and didn't have room for both, so we had to eat standing to allow room for the buffet. I don't think I ended up getting married in the dream, but the food went down well lol.

I had one last week where the venue had double booked me and I was running round like an idiot in this huge hotel-like-conference-esque space trying to find someone to complain to, wearing only a ladybird vest and knickers, while shouting that (a) they've changed everything round (I'm getting married on a historic ship) and I'd only chosen them because of having exclusive use.

I then found my dress (*not my actual dress*) hanging over a swimming pool, and because of that I made the other bride and the wedding coordinator from the venue (*not the person I've met*) walk the plank.

It's the ladybird vest and knickers bit that shocks me. Although my boobs were being perfectly pert, which is how I know it was a dream.
We may not have it all together, but together we have it all

I had another one this weekend while staying at Oulton House for my birthday - My OH informed me that we were getting married there instead of our chosen venue... I really didn't want to because it was so expensive (£5000 for 50 guests plus £80pp for extra guests!) and because it was so far away from where we live! He'd not even arranged any transport!

I've had one, and it was awful :D Only about 12 people had turned up, and we were all sitting down on a blanket in the middle of a massive hall, and then we ran out of alcohol. We spent ages running round local shops, which had all sold out apart from one that had a half full bottle of rose wine. *shudder*

Hope that's the last of them!
  • When my sister was getting married my mum dreamt she hadn't booked the musicians and only realised this when waiting for my dad and sister to walk down the aisle, after she'd somehow been massively late getting ready.

I'm not engaged yet but I did have a wedding dream recently which has really stuck in my head - I dreamt that I hadn't seen the dress until I got to the church and then I was trying it on and really didn't like it and was getting stressed out as I was keeping people waiting. Not very nice really...
