Weird wedding dreams!

After spending a lovely wedding planning free weekend with my OH I had 2 really strange dreams last night...

The first was I went to put my dress on the morning of the wedding and it was 2ft too short! It was like a tea dress, something I would never wear. Course, it was too late to find another dress so I had to wear it!

The second was on the day of my wedding everyone had forgot about it! No one turned up... even my other half! I had to ring round everyone to tell them to come to the church. Then when people started arriving I realised the wedding wasn't for another year!

Have you had any strange dreams about your wedding?

Oh this reminds me of all the strange dreams I had!

Me and h2b were woken up by the phone ringing, saying that everyone was at the castle waiting on us, where were we! Me and him were still sleeping lol! Strange dream that one!

My most common ones were like that though, that I 'forgot' when the wedding day was! Make up artist turned up and Im saying to her, it's not today is it? I haven't even washed my hair!

Or I would make it to the castle on time, only to realise that not only did I not have any make up on, my hair was unwashed and I didn't have my dress on :rotfl:

Thankfully, on the actual day everything went (almost) perfectly!
Can't think of anything smart to put here...
  • I had one the other night where I was busy getting ready on the morning of the wedding but I'd made no arrangements for my hair and make up so was having to do it all myself and panicking!

Then, when I went to put on my dress, I realised that I'd forgotten to have any adjustments made (I've bought a vintage dress, needs a bit of taking in around the bust) and my mum kept saying that she didn't understand why I hadn't bothered to organise the adjustments when I'd had 18 months to get it done! So I'd just have to wear it as it is!

It's been my first wedding related panic dream, I'm sure there'll be many more!
  • I had a dream at the weekend that everything was going perfectly well until I walked down the aisle and when I turned to look at my OH it wasn't him and the bestman wasn't who he's picked (I'm not actually sure who they were as I've never seen them before).

I was asking who they were and where was Rob and Mark but everyone kept telling me it was them. My matron and I kept telling them it wasn't but they we adament it was and when I rang Robs mobile to ask him what was going on it went straight to his answer phone (I had my phone in my garter).

Next thing I know me and my matron are trying to get my train in a DB8 to escape some horrible plan to get me married to a random stranger, then my cat woke me up so I'm not sure of the outcome.

It was rather amusing and it did beat my OH "I had a wierd dream last night that we were buying a house in the middle of a river".
  • Thank goodness I'm not the only one! Last night I had a dream that my Mum was throwing rose petals over me as good luck before I went down the aisle (and I mean big bags of them!) and when I got to the alter my OH said he couldn't marry me as it had started his hay fever off and left! We still went to the reception though, as my mum said we couldn't waste it!
    Very unsettling!
    :footie: COYS :footie:

    Now a Married woman :D
  • Im so pleased im not the only one!! Ive had the same dream for the last 3 nights that we go to pick the flowers up and they have forgotten them and want £4500 to do me some more!! Then I pay for the flowers and get to the church and my bridesmaids have changed into jeans and a top coz they hated the dresses and we cant find the wedding rings!!

Its making me dread going to sleep!!
  • My wedding dream was that I found myself at the back of church (not getting married in church, btw...) in scruffy clothes, trying to change into some appalling monstrosity of a dress that I hated but that was all that could be found (no idea what happened to my real dress; the dream didn't go into that), while everyone looked at me. By the way, I didn't recognise anyone in the congregation!

I still have 9 1/2 months to go!!!
:heart::heart: Marrying my lovely man on 1st September 2012 :heart::heart:
