Norton installed - but not by me?!

I turned on my computer tonight and got a pop up box to say that Norton had been installed and that it was ging to check regularly for updates?
Went into control panel and programs and it said it had been installed on 13/11/11?
I uninstalled it.
But i have AVG - and have not installed Norton - does anybody know what is going on?
Is there any chance i have been infected by a virus?

inadvertently clicked on a link ?? personally I'd remove both and replace with avira or avast.

Both avg and norton have removal tools available, so use them to uninstall either/both.

I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple :D

Probably you didn't tick (or un tick) a box when you installed something else & it installed a trail version
