Eon won't let go

Was with Eon fixed online 8 which was a one year deal that ended in July.

Transferred to British Gas as they had one of the best deals at the time. Gas transferred but Electricity didn't.

Eon have put me onto a standard electricity tariff. Spoke to British Gas and they said they would contact Eon directly to release the electricity so it could be transfered over.

Just received a letter from British Gas saying Eon won't allow the transfer again. I am not in arrears because I pay by Direct Debit.

What do people recommend because my patience is running out with Eon.

  • Have you spoken to Eon? If not in arrears only other reason could be is BG are applying for wrong elec meter, or you have non standard elec metering that BG don't support, e10, heatwise, RHT, but speaking with eon - not kicking off- but enquiring as to hwat the problem may be will probably get it sorted.

    I agree with Airmike23, you need to speak to E.ON and ask why the electricity is not transferring.

    If there is no debt on the account then it will probably be because of the metering type or an error on the data base where the metering information is held.

  • A quick update for everyone.

    Its been four months since I posted this and still Eon hang onto the Electricity.

    British Gas has moved onto the confirmation of your contract details but its been at this stage for months! I have been given no electric supply start date.

    I am out of pocket since fixonline 8 ended last July. I have not been able to enjoy duel fuel discount since then.

    I have rung Eon to check they have the right meter number and the Customer Service Agent couldn't see whats wrong, checked with supervisor - need to get back to you but they never did.

    WELL EON I TRIED TO SORT OUT A SIMPLE TRANSFER. YOU GIVE ME NO OPTION BUT TO REFER TO THE REGULATOR BECAUSE YOUR CONDUCT IS UNACCEPTABLE.
