Which camera - Kodak or Samsung ?

I have been sent a £20 off £50 spend for Very so thought I would make use of it to buy a new camera for DD.
Any thoughts which one of these I should opt for ?

I'd go for the Samsung, entirely on the basis that it has a better optical zoom.

Beware though, at 14 Mpixels each, they are both probably a bit too pixelled-up for the size of sensor, so expect an inferior (i.e. noisy) picture than a 8-10 Mpixel camera if the light is poor or if you're highly zoomed in.

thanks fwor - dont think there will be too many highly zoomed in - she will probably just be a happy snapper!

i prefer the Samsung.it looks more beatiful.
and my friend's camara is Samsung and the quality is good.

I have a Samsung (ES65 i think) and its very easy to use and takes great pics. Except when using the flash.
The flash is simply not powerful enough, even at a couple of feet away from the subject.
