My friend listed some of the smoking patches things on e-bay and has had a note to say they have been withdrawn.
Does anyone know why this is as there appear to be others listed
One watcher has got back to him and asked if he can still buy them. What you reckon??
I am not really clued on e-bay but how do these people well the shops really find all their stuff at the prices they sell them at???

i would imagine its because potentially a child could buy these and stick them all over their body to get a nicotine hit
i would assume it comes under the ban on advertising tobacco products etc
if there are other similar items listed it probably just means those havent been spotted/reported to ebay0 -
Thanks for the reply.
But can a child have a paypal account??
Well how on earth they spotted his and not the others I do not know.
Do you reckon it was this bloke who wants to buy them that reported them? And is it ok for him to sell them to him?
Sorry for the questions.0 -
The selling of anything that *can* be prescibed on prescription is problematic on ebay as it falls foul of this rule:
http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/policies/prescriptions.html
Whilst patches are available over the counter they are still a licensed product, ie they can't be sold in certain types of shops, and are limited to where they can be sold. Therefore the rule about not selling is to cover ebay against unintentional breaches of UK regulations.

Exclamation and question marks - ONE exclamation mark or question mark is sufficient to exclaim or ask about something. More than one just makes you look/sound like a prat.
Should OF, would OF. Dear oh dear. You really should have, or should've listened at school when that nice English teacher was explaining how words get abbreviated.0 -
All the ones I have seen were listed on ebay.com. Don't know if that makes any diference....:j30/7/10:j
