My e-mail has been sending out spam e-mail to people in by address book by itself. I have now changed the password and deleted everyone in my address book. One friend clicked on the link that was sent and they have a worm in their PC.
Edit - I have run malware and it hasn't found anything.

I assume you have an anti-virus program such as Avast, AVG, Norton installed and you have run a full scan.

It is possible that you have a virus, but equally that unfortunately your email address is one that is not that unusual and has now been spoofed by chance, I have an old email address of several years standing, which ocassionally spams me to my gmail account!

If you have run full scans of Anti-Virus and Anti-Malware without detecting anything, I am afraid there will be little you can do.

I use windows security essentials and also use windows firewall, plus the firewall on the o2 box. Is this enough, or do I need something else?

Also when you look at the log, lots of files are missing, what does this mean.

It means HijackThis doesn't work properly on x64 systems.

Nothing worrying when I have a look at the log but others are better at analysing.

If worried about malware, Download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 1.50 - FileHippo.com and install. Update definitions and run full scan. Remove everything it finds and post log here.
